1. Post-Event Report: Monterrey, México, 25JUN24

The 5th Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting took place at Marriott Courtyard San Jeronimo / Valle in Monterrey, Mexico on 25JUN24. An incredible number of 140 delegates attended the meeting, way more than we expected – some extra rows of chairs and tables made us all fit into the conference room. Drymix mortar experts from Brasil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey and the US and of course México attended the comprehensive technical program and took advantage of the networking opportunities during the meeting as well. Kathion invited all delegates to a wonderful evening with cocktails and snacks after our meeting - thanks a lot! The schedule for the 8th Central European Drymix Mortar Conference has just been published on our event website https://www.drymix.info/index.php?id=1611. Registration is also possible on the same website, so check out the program packed with the latest industry developments and come join us to be part of it! The event will again take place at magnificent Çırağan Palace, İstanbul, Turkey, on Thursday, 19. September 2024. Our traditional Bosphorus Cruise starts directly after our conference, we board our ship for a wonderful cruise at the palace's own jetty. 2.2. 17th Annual SEADMA Conference HCMC on 14NOV24, Cooperation with VIBM, Topics

The South East Drymix Mortar Association in cooperation with Vietnam Institute for Building Materials VIBM are looking forward to welcoming drymix mortar experts from South East Asia and beyond at the New World Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for the 17th Annual SEADMA Conference on 14. November 2024. This full-day event features a comprehensive lecturing program with both local and international content as well as an Industry Showcase and of course will give you plenty of networking opportunities. 2.3. 17th Annual MEDMA Conference Abu Dhabi, UAE, 19NOV24: taking place at Abu Dhabi University

The Middle East Drymix Mortar Association MEDMA is pleased to announce its cooperation with Abu Dhabi University, namely with Dr. Reem Sabouni and Dr. Samer Al Martini and their construction materials team. The 17th Annual MEDMA Conference will take place at Abu Dhabi University on 19NOV24. Attention contributors: Our Call for Papers expires on 15JUL24! 2.4. Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2025

The  Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2025 will be issued at idmmcX, Nürnberg, Germany, 25. March 2025 (immediately before European Coatings Show 2025), it will be given to all our delegates in the following events 2025 (Philippines, Korea, São Paulo, Kuala Lumpur...) and spring 2026. Scientific content is highly appreciated, but also product presentations (advertorials) are welcome - a wonderful tool to keep in touch with your key customers. Deadline for materials is 01DEC24, but we recommend to place your order/propose your content immediately.

3. Saint-Gobain Acquires Fosroc

Saint-Gobain#s Building Materials Division of Courbevoie, France, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the global construction chemicals producer Fosroc (HQ in Dubai, UAE). Fosroc operates 20 manufacturing plants globally, employing around 3,000. The company is producing a wide range of concrete admixtures as well as technical solutions for the construction industry such as drymix mortars (CTA, specialty grouts, flooring compounds, concrete repair systems), sealants and waterproofing. According to Saint-Gobain, the company is aiming to strengthen its presence in high-growth emerging markets, notably in India and the Middle East with this acquisition. The transaction value was 960 mio Euro. Saint-Gobain Weber's worldwide presence in the construction industry will have combined sales of 6.200 mio Euro across 73 countries following the acquisition.

4. Acmon Systems joins drymix.info as Industrial Partner

Acmon System S.A. of Schimatari, Greece, has decided to join drymix.info as industrial partner. Founded in 1992 as part of Acmon Group, Acmon Systems provides technology solutions in engineering, internal supply chain of bulk products, packaging, bagging, and control systems. Along with 3D modeling for Turnkey plants and powder or liquid handling applications, Acmon Systems also offers standardized solutions allowing possible plant expansions.
